Bible Study

We invite you to spend time examining the following Scriptures that shaped this sermon:

Sermon Outline

  • The Spirit brings new birth
  • The Son accomplishes redemption
  • The Father sends out of love

  • Where have you seen John 3:16 before?
  • Jesus says “You must be born again” and how we experience that is like how we experience the wind. Not by seeing the Spirit do it but by experiencing its effects. Based on your experience of the faith do you believe you’ve been born again of the Spirit to a new life in Christ? If so why? If not why? If that’s something you’d like to explore more please feel free to email Dave at DLibbon@StAndrew.Church
  • The Holy Trinity is a play in bringing about God’s kingdom. Where else in scripture have you seen God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at work?
  • Let Jesus be present to you in and through his written word. We have an SAPC reading plan we’ll be following this year and would invite you to join us as we read God’s word together. Pick up a copy on Sunday or download it here.
  • Because of this sermon, how has your life changed, matured, or challenged?
  • Who will you tell and what because of what you just heard?
  • How would you explain this to a small child?

The outline and application questions are intended for your further reflection and action upon the weekend message. They are also designed to facilitate discussion and accountability within your Life Group community.

If you have questions about this sermon please email David Libbon (DLibbon@StAndrews.Church).
