Sally Wallace Called to Head Women’s Ministry
Dear St. Andrew’s Family,
It is with great pleasure that I share with you the good news that Sally Wallace has accepted the call to lead the Women’s Ministry at St. Andrew’s. Sally has had a long association with St. Andrew’s, her children being graduates of our Day School. Sally is married to Bruce Wallace and together they have four children (Coleman, 18, Ben, 15, Luke, 13, and Meg, 11).
Sally is a Virginia Tech graduate. Upon her graduation she was employed by the Office of the Governor of South Carolina for three years where she composed speeches and correspondence for Governor Carroll Campbell. In 1994 she matriculated into the University of South Carolina School of Law. Receiving her Juris Doctor she served as law clerk for the Honorable William Howard on the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
As the Wallace family began to grow Sally had an extended period of time at home with her children. In 2010 she returned to the work force this time as a teacher at Wando High School, developing the Law Education curriculum for the school. Additional responsibilities included coaching the Mock Trial team, serving as lead teacher for technology integration program, and leading the Charleston County School District’s TeachCharleston program, a program designed to prepare and equip novice Charleston County teachers. In recognition of her work in the educational world Sally received the South Carolina Law Ed Teacher of the Year award.
Equally, Sally has been involved deeply in the life of St. Andrew’s. Currently she is involved in Ananias Prayer Ministry and has completed the Level I, II, and III courses at Christian Healing Ministries’ School of Healing Prayer; she is a member of the Prophetic Team, and a Co-leader with Drawing Near to God. Previously Sally has participated in Women’s Ministry, Alpha, Marriage Ministry Bible Study and has served on the Vestry at her previous parish.
It is this integration of her home, faith and work life that I believe has equipped her to lead our Women’s Ministry. Please join me in welcoming Sally to her new position. You may reach her at swallace@standrews.church. So that she may fulfill her current obligations, Sally’s first day in her new position will be May 1, 2017.

Sally writes:
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead this ministry at St. Andrew’s. As a product of the St. Andrew’s Women’s Ministry, I simply would not know the Lord to the degree that I do without the opportunities for growth and study that the ministry offered. Further, I consider this church to be an extension of my home. It is, without question, the place where my family and I received our understanding of the love of God, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the healing presence of Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that God will empower the women of St. Andrew’s in their work to spread the gospel and that this ministry continues to equip the women of our community with knowledge of the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. St. Andrew’s has blessed me richly and I am delighted to join in the work of sharing its vision.
